How should Ukraine respond?
And more details on the "peace plan"
Since I wrote yesterday’s post looking at the draft of the Witkoff/Dmitriev proposals, there has been more useful commentary on the plan. Sergey Radchenko, who has done work on past efforts to get a Russo-Ukraine peace has also published an annotated version of the plan, which is well worth reading.
I was pleased to see this from Michael Weiss which confirmed my views about the origins of the plan and the consequences of Dmitriev publicising it before it could withstand scrutiny.
In this post I look at additional details that have emerged in the last 24 hours, including on the nature of the supposed security guarantee, and then look at how Ukraine can best respond to the proposals.
